Komuna
Komuna is a mobile application designed to facilitate community organization and collaborative work at a local level.
Its main goal is to empower people to coordinate projects, form working groups, assign tasks, share resources, and stay connected in a simple and accessible way. Komuna seeks to strengthen the social fabric, promote neighborhood autonomy, and foster active participation in the transformation of local communities by providing tools to manage projects in an organized and structured manner.
Design system
Komuna's design system is built around a palette of greens and oranges that evoke connection, vitality, and trust. Green represents collaboration and balance —used in backgrounds, primary buttons, and navigation components— while orange adds warmth and energy in highlights, alerts, and interactive elements.
Typography was chosen for legibility and friendliness, prioritizing clarity over ornamentation, and every component was designed to maintain visual and functional coherence across screen sizes. The result is an interface that feels alive, organic, and collective —a visual translation of the neighborhoods Komuna aims to strengthen.
Research & Insights
The most valued experiences were those with clear planning, well-defined roles, and solid organizational structures. Group commitment and cohesion also played a key role—when everyone was motivated and aligned, the experience became more meaningful. Good organization made volunteers feel their work had purpose and direction, while negative experiences were often linked to poor planning, weak logistics, or unfulfilled expectations.

IA / Flows / Wireframes
The design process began with a user-centered information architecture, focusing on simplicity and visibility of essential actions —creating groups, sharing resources, assigning tasks. The user flows were structured so that anyone, regardless of digital experience, could navigate the platform intuitively.
From these flows, the wireframes explored clear hierarchies, accessible iconography, and micro-interactions that reinforce collaboration. Artificial intelligence was introduced as a supportive layer —providing task suggestions, automatic reminders, and collaboration recommendations— without replacing collective decision-making. Overall, the system translates communal logic into a fluid, empathetic, and transparent digital experience.
Results & Learnings
Komuna succeeded in translating community organization into a simple, human-centered digital experience. The visual system reinforced a sense of belonging, and the interface testing confirmed that users valued the app's clarity and warmth —especially the ability to see, share, and act collectively.
